Whats important to me is that we work to empower people to have better lives. Building relationships with business, labor and the community.
In 2006 we rented Wessman Arena for Youth Video Quest working to teach youth how to use digital media tools. I have continued to work with our schools and nonprofits to bring more of these tools into our educational system.
In the winter of 2012 I was blessed with the opportunity to go on a Mission trip to East Africa. One of my goals was to learn more about how we could help create Jobs here in Duluth and benefit East Africans through Solar. This is a short video of a Taa Bora Solar Light Micro Factory in Tanzania I was able to visit.
Working for WDIO TV for over 11 years I learned first hand how the Community of Duluth operated. One of the stories I worked on was Isle Royale ship wrecks scuba diving.
In 2005 I sold the Apartment building on 1-3-5 West 5th Street that I had owned since 1991 and had renovated through partnership with the City of Duluth, Neighborhood Housing , HRA, and Duluth Water and Gas funding. Duluth has so much to offer for business, labor, and community I want to be able to work with all the different entities to make Duluth a better place to live, work and play.
